Library of the Unchained Mind

Chantry of the Unchained Mind

About ten miles east of Murleno, this chantry is found amongst the woods of Tharda. It is built into a hillside, and looks much like a mine from the outside. Inside though, the living quarters are plush and comfortable, well lit with magical glow lights. The Shek-Pvar here are generally young, and the apprentices are few.

The Chantry is run by Yaelos of the Golden Eye and Faila the Black, both Savorya magi of moderate power. They are both in their late forties, and more interested in theoretical work than practical application.

The other two are Keltov, a Shenava of Savorya and the youngest member is Selmi, a young Shenava of Savorya of unusually high intelligence.

The library here is basic, but diverse, with a high emphasis on the philosophy of Pvarism, rather than practicality.

Recent Events

The Shek-Pvar Jarl Lasting joined the Chantry in 717 TR, he had arrived her from Drasis Chantry in Kanday, which had closed.

Recently, in 720 TR, he burnt his quarters, damaging the quarters of other Shek-Pvar, threeatening the life of an apprentice, and causing limited damage to the main library of the chantry. By the time the fire had been dealt with, Jarl Lasting had vanished.

Soon after, news reached the Chantry that certain Viran within the Order wanted to question Lasting about events surrounding the closure of Drasis chantry, in which enchantments had been cast on mundanes, certain demons summoned which risked the reputation of the Order, and relationships with other Shenava of that chantry who had potentially broken the Pvaric Code.

Jarl Lasting was caught up with in Coranan, where he openly cast magic at another Shek-Pvar in full sight of mundanes. For this, and other unspecified crimes, he has been declared renegade.
