Withrican Mountains

The White Spine Mountains, which dominate central Euressa. The run from the south coast right up to the northern peninsula of Vorlov. The mountains split east from west both geographically and culturally. Both eastern and western slopes are covered in rivers of glacial ice, and the upper peaks are considered to be home to several Powers of the Ice.

The mountains are considered to be uncivilised, though small groups of people do live there. The mountain people of Pavnik dwell on the eastern slopes of the Withrican, and are said to know of a few secret paths.

The options for travellers are to either go around the southern end of the range, or use the road between Urazen and Pavnik, which is well guarded, both to protect caravans from mountain bandits and also to extract tolls from travellers.
