Rornic Mythology

Rornic Mythology

Long before living memory, the god Rorn led his people away from the encroachment of the Ice to the magical realm of Tarvallah, where the living magic of the Earth kept the Ice at bay.

The mythology of the People of Rorn deals with the end of the Old World, the short time in Tarvallah, and the ending of that age also, when Rorn was slain by his brother Haltan, who took up the kingship of the gods, and led the people in war against the other races of men.

Tarvallah fell to fire and disease, but in that time the Ice was driven back from the rest of Euressa, and the People of Rorn came to carve a new kingdom for themselves in Weidany.

The Five Ages

The bards tell that four ages of the World have passed, and that we now live in the Fifth Age, where the World hangs in balance between the Ice and Life.

The Time Before Time existed forever, and for no time at all. Before the first rising of the Sun and Moon, time was unmeasured, and no life existed on the World.

The Dawn Time was the age from the creation of the Sun and Moon, and lasted up until the creation of Man. It was the time in which the gods were created, and they in turn shaped the world.

The Age of Summer.

The Age of Winter.

The Age of Balance.
