The Powers of the Ice

The Ice is considered a malevolent entity by most of Eorthe. The ebb and flow of the glaciers are governed by the wishes of the great Powers that live in the inhospitable north. These Powers are alien to humans, and seek only a return to the beginning of the world, when everything was covered by Ice.

The Powers of the Ice seek law and stasis - change, passion and learning are their antithesis. There are a few cults of the Ice, but not many. Currently, it is believed that these Powers are dorment, waiting for a more suitable time to awaken. If nothing else, they are patient.
