Cult of the Dawn

The Cult of the Dawn is a loosely knit group of priestesses who follow the Dawn Goddess. They are healers and midwives, taking vows to never bring harm to anyone.

Members of the Cult are common, being found in most villages across the Kingdom of Weidany. Most members are relatively low level, being spinsters or widows. There is no requirement for cult members to be women, though by far the majority are.

Many cult members will also be members of the Cult of Yagma, with priestesses training in both cults. Sometimes ceremonies are dual dedicated to both goddesses, though this is never done on a Cult's holy day.

Clothing and Symbolism

During ceremonies, cultists will generally wear clean white robes, after purifying themselves in clean water. The robes are simple one peice garments, leaving the arms and neck bare.

The symbol of Estror is the egg, and an egg is often used during ceremonies. For richer cult members, a solid silver or solid gold egg is used. In either case, the metal egg must be solid and pure - a gold plated egg is considered worse than a simple hen's egg.

The sacred animal is the rabbit, which is sometimes sacrificed during the ceremony.

Blessing of Conception (Cost 2): Religion (Rornic).
Prerequisites: Ceremonies of Estror.

A blessing which may be asked for by a woman in order to increase or reduce the chance of conception during intercourse. The blessing is bestowed during the new moon, and lasts until the next new moon.

Caring hands (Cost 2): Religion (Rornic).
Prerequisites: Ceremonies of Estror.

When making a first aid roll, get a bonus equal to religion score if prayers are said to Estror over the wounds and they are cleansed with holy water.
