Eorthe

Eorthe

Eorthe is the world of men, as named by the people of Rorn. It is also known as Midgaard, Middle Earth, or just Earth.

Eorthe has a year of 372 days. It has a single moon, with a period of 28 days.

The world is in the middle of on ice age, with ice caps reaching across much of the northern continents. The last great expansion of the ice ended two to three thousand years ago.

The main populated continent is Gyla, also known as the Old World. Much of it is still covered by ice sheets, either from the arctic sheet, or stretching out from mountains.

Gyla is joined at the equator by an isthmus of land to the western continent of Habanna.

Sitting between the two continents, in the northern latitudes, is the sub continent of Euressa. Warmed by warm ocean currents from the south, it was the destination of many refugees fleeing the last ice incursions.
