Council of Holbury

In 761, the feud between the three kingdoms of Merrik, Perrin and Angsly was ended at a great battle outside the town of Holbury. Cerdic of Merrik slays King Halfric of Angsly before dying himself, leaving only King Wihtgar of Perrin.

Wihtgar persuades the warriors to end the battle at this point, and meets with Erwin son of Cerdic and Oswald son of Halfric on a hill in Holbury the following day. There, they eventually agree a peace between their kingdoms, and agree to meet at the same time each year at Holbury to discuss relationships between their kingdoms.

A great hall is built there, which is administered by the Daughters of Neya since they are the only priests in the region at this time. The Council of Holbury is held each year until about 974, when Merrik and Anglsy again begin a way which sees the collapse of the three kingdoms, and the rise of the Kingdom of Weidany.
