New Anglian Confederation
The New Anglian Confederation is the most technologically advanced of the nations, and is one of the most powerful. Its fleet has to cover a large volume of space however, and it can't always afford to upgrade everything with the latest technology, so it's forces are also among the most varied in terms of available technology, training and support.
The Core Fleet
NAC fleet doctrine is about maximising the strength of their fighters, and most major fleet engagements are backed by their carriers. The NAC can afford to ensure that carriers are always protected by sufficient escort vessels, and so tend to fulfil a very defensive role, carrying almost no offensive capability (other than their fighters).
Similarly, non-carrier vessels of the NAC do not carry fighters. This is in contrast to other fleets, such as the NSL and FSE, where other vessels (such as BDNs and SDNs) will carry small fighter compliments.
Fighters
All fighters used by the NAC are long range, and have 9 points of endurance. This makes them far more effective if used carefully, though the advantage is lost if they are placed into situations where they will take heavy casualties.
