The eastern coast of Ekkos merges with the Zemoan Sea in a very slow and gradual fashion. Fresh water marsh gives way to salt marsh, gives way to inlets and coves, gives way to sea. Where one begins and the other ends isn't always clear.

During the Devastation, an earthquake in Zemoa caused half a mountain side to slip into the Zemoan Sea, and a great tidal wave swept across the land, drowning people in their hundreds of thousands.

The region is now a place where spirits are unable to seek rest, and many still haunt the ancient ruins of civilisation in their madness.
